Games to Watch: Part II of Thursday games has several title favorites

Looking for a good game this Thursday night? Just depends on where you call home. In Part I of our Thursday preview, we've broken down the state for you, so look for your region (more or less) and plot a course to your local stadium. After all, you never know which matchup could become an instant classic. If you don't feel like leaving the house, join staffer Travis Stewart for his live blog of the Argyle vs. Paris game in McKinney. Kickoff is at 7:30, but the blog will start up at 7:00 -- swing by for questions, comments, concerns or just to chat.

If you live out in the West-Metroplex area (continued from Part I) ... Denton Ryan (9-1) vs. Saginaw (4-6), 7 p.m., Justin Northwest HS (4A)
Notes: Though his pursuit of Graham Harrell's single-season touchdown record (67) has slowed since the start of the season, Denton Ryan's Scotty Young (44) is still one of the top quarterbacks in the state ... We could be seeing trouble: Saginaw has allowed the fifth-most points (330) out of any playoff bound 4A team, while Ryan has scored the second most points (497) in 4A and fifth-most in the entire state of Texas ... But regardless of the outcome, Saginaw deserves credit for making its first-ever playoff appearance, even as a heavy underdog.
