College Recap: UT rolls over Arkansas; TCU can't keep pace with OU

Below are recaps -- plus a bit of analysis from DCTF staff -- from the fifth weekend of the college football season. Baylor and Texas Tech had open weeks, while TCU ran into a BCS powerhouse in Norman. Good news for Texas fans – the Longhorns look sharper than ever.

Horned Frogs outclassed by mighty Sooners
DCTF's Take: There were two big problems for the Horned Frogs in their 35-10 loss to OU -- a very slow start had them playing from behind the whole game, and, well, OU was just better. TCU didn't play well in the first half, as three turnovers and nine penalties in the first two frames essentially kept the offense or defense from building any kind of momentum. QB Sam Bradford and the Sooner offense played at a rapid tempo, which kept Gary Patterson's normally stout defense off kilter and out of sync, and even though TCU's first quarter field goal was the first score the Sooners have given up in the opening frame this year, the 21 the Horned Frogs coughed up during the same time essentially ended this one before it began.
