Texas Tech coach Mike Leach has been fired over allegations he badly mistreated an injured player. The announcement comes days before the Red Raiders were set to play Michigan State in the Valero Alamo Bowl. Ruffin McNeill, the defensive coordinator, will serve as interim coach. It's worth noting that leach was set to earn $800,000 tomorrow if he were still the head coach -- a contract bonus that has been avoided with his dismissal.
