For the first time since the establishment of the state tournament in 1998, the 7-on-7 state tournament will have a small-school bracket (a la Division I/Division II) consisting of 3A, 2A, and 1A schools. Eight SQTs for the 3A/1A tournament will establish a 32-team field that will compete for a title of their own the Thursday before the 5A/4A tournament.
The senior circuit, meanwhile, will again feature 32 SQTS that will set the 64-team field. Once again, the State Tournament is set for July 13th and 14th at intramural fields on the Texas A&M campus.
