Odd four-team district in 1-3A:
I'm used to the concept of the occasional four-team district down in the six-man ranks, but seeing one all the way up in Class 3A was a bit confusing. District 1-3A offers just Dalhart, Pampa, Borger and Perryton -- great news for Pampa, which is dropping down to 3A from the 4A ranks. But for everyone else in the region, it has to be a little odd -- after all, just one of those four teams is going to miss the playoffs each season, which has to feel like a little frustrating for a district like 22-3A, which sports seven teams. This is going to be one of the toughest districts to predict every season, and I have a feeling I'm going to get some grumpy emails from supporters of the predicted odd-man out.
